   I’m grateful for your advice, and confirmation of so much that I instinctively understood, but without the information and perspective to make much sense of it.

   I’ve been studying the onset of the Great Depression recently, and it is shocking to me how similar our current trajectory appears to be.

   My best idea so far for America is this- All citizens who wish may take a basic reading, writing and comprehension exam, and those who pass going into a pool within each state. Each congressional election cycle we choose x number of these people (randomly) and each writes a position paper (short) and the state sponsors 3 to 5 debates. The winner is then elected for 8 years, staggered cycles for continuity, no re-election, no campaign funds of any kind… ever. The buying of political favors or influence peddling (during or after service) is a crime punishable by 25 years minimum. Those sucessfully serving their term are pensioned for life and subject to reasonable Government service at any time till 60.

   Also, we must eliminate executive orders and signing statements- Neuter the Presidency.

   I still believe in the common citizen’s wisdom in governing our affairs in the world. But I’m afraid we are almost out of time.

   The greedy for power will soon kill us all. The golden rule still stands, and if we ignore it we will pay the price.

   JRR Tolkeins golden ring of power is dressed up in many cloaks (communists, fascists, socialists, capitalists, religion, bankers etc…), its all about power, and it kills every time.

   Do what is right, love mercy, and love your neighbor as you love yourself, and there is hope. The alternative is what we are now facing.

3. I been following the U.S. T-Bill selloff from foreign countries. yet the Federal Reserve is using Q.E. 1 and Q.E. 2 funds to buy up them at record levels. could Bernanke start a Q.E. 3 to continue this trend? It seems everything the Federal Reserve does is deflationary. I find this behavior irresponsible if they think it will cause interest rates to rise to offset the debt!

   I also notice that they are raising margins on futures. would this action be cause of the chronic long contracts on oil\energy commodities. which is killing any growth in the G.D.P and cutting into the pockets of the average persons purchasing power even more. you can create growth if your bleeding the publics pockets to just fill there tanks or eat. all these policies and unregulated derivatives default swaps are going to cause the largest revolution this country has ever seen. if they don’t stop the theft pretty soon. cause when people get hungry they will take it out on the wealthy faster then congress can hire hookers!

   I might also add. I know the wealthy are building underground bunkers at record levels. this includes political leaders past and present. let me tell you something. I know where 90% of them are so forget it. your not safe anywhere from the coming collapse you created!
